While our name has evolved to reflect the wider range of services we now offer, many of our original customers still know us simply as Outen Tyres—and that connection means a great deal to us.

Our Journey So Far
Our story began in 1975 as a modest one-man tyre shop in Ockendon. At the time, the focus was simple: do the job properly and treat customers fairly. As word spread, demand grew. Consequently, the business relocated to Cranham before settling at our long-standing home on London Road, West Thurrock in 1993.
Since then, our loyal customer base has continued to grow year after year. As a result, we have expanded our premises, invested in modern equipment, and built a skilled, knowledgeable team. While much has changed over the years, our core values remain exactly the same.
A New Chapter, Built on Strong Foundations
In May 2021, the business entered an exciting new chapter when it was passed on to Ricky and his family by the original owners, Paul and Lyn Outen. Importantly, this transition allowed the business to grow while staying true to everything customers have always trusted.
Under Ricky’s leadership, Outens Auto Centre has gone from strength to strength. Not only has our customer base expanded, but our team has grown too. Today, we offer a fully staffed workshop alongside a reliable mobile call-out service, ensuring fast, efficient support wherever it’s needed.
